SWIMING

For the hot days (or even the cold ones) we have this really good options for some refreshing family fun by the pool.

  1. Podoli Swimming Pool Complex is located just outside the city centre, near the Vltava River by Vysehrad. Consists of one Olympic sized 50m indoor swimming pool, two outdoor swimming pools of 50m and 33m in length, plus a paddling pool for children.
  1. A great option for all the family is Aqua Palace, indoor fun for everyone!

PRAGUE ZOO

If you visit Prague with Children (or by yourself) your visit to the Zoo is a must. Prague Zoo is forgotten by some city guides, but is certainly worth a visit. It is located a few kilometres from the city centre and is set around a river gorge, with rocky cliff faces and rolling meadows all around.

Among the traditional zoo animals to see are lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes, penguins and sea lions, as well as less common animals like the Markhor and Ibex, which are housed in mountain enclosures. A chairlift runs within the zoo, from the top there are views over Prague are amazing! Visit the currently 4th best ZOO in the world! Prague Zoo   

MINIGOLF

 Tower Park.- The new outdoor Mini Golf course in the centre of Vinohrady/Zizkov is good fun and reasonably well priced. It’s a nice adult and kid-friendly activity for mild Autumn weather which you could also combine with a visit to the tower or a park visit to Riegrovy Sady.  

 

Pirates Park.- This is a pretty amazing park, enjoy the day just next to the river wth the perfect atmosphere.

THE CLUB OF NATURAL SCIENTISTS OF THE CITY OF PRAGUE

 

This center for extra-curricular education in natural sciences is open to the public. You can feel free to visit the outdoor area where you may explore the thematic gardens, see the bird cages, kangaroos, llamas and other animals. The indoor are with greenhouses, tropical animals and terrariums can be visited too on selected days.
